Living with an Acquired Brain Injury
I worked as a Training Facilitatir in the National Rehabilitation Hospital.
I produced a documentary on ABI “Living with an Acquired Brain Injury” with the help of the trainees in the hospital. The documentary is about the lives of 2 people with an an acquired brain injury and the impact it has them and their families.
ABI is often referred to as the silent epidemic and it can effect people in many ways including memory, insight and cognitive behaviour issues. A everday task for example like filling out a bank form can present difficulties and issues such as divided attention.
This clip features an interview with Gerry Mc Donnell. He gives an strong insight into ABI and how it effected him
He is a remarkable man and inspiration to others with an acquired brain injury
